Founded as the Centre international d’études romanes (1952, France) and re-established in the United States (1956, New York), the ICMA is a member-based international network of academics, museum professionals, collectors, and enthusiasts of medieval art. The ICMA supports the scholarship and preservation of visual and material cultures in every corner of the medieval world. It publishes Gesta and sponsors public lectures, conferences, publications, and exhibitions. Your annual membership supports the ICMA’s initiatives.
