The scholarly journal GESTA (gesta@medievalart.org) is published by the International Center of Medieval Art (ICMA), headquartered in The Cloisters (the medieval branch of The Metropolitan Museum of Art). Advertisements for scholarly books and journals, as well as announcements for museum exhibitions, conferences, symposia, courses of study, and other academic events are accepted by GESTA. Published twice yearly, GESTA is the only American journal devoted to the art and architecture of the Middle Ages. Currently, GESTA has more than 1,200 subscribers worldwide. In the United States, GESTA is available at major national public, college, university, and museum libraries, as well as at major international auction houses and art dealers. Abroad, GESTA is read at libraries in 17 cities in Germany, 11 cities in France (12 libraries in Paris alone!), 10 cities in Italy, 16 libraries in Japan, and many other prestigious research centers throughout Europe, the Americas, and Asia. Additional subscribers are found in Argentina, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, and elsewhere. Thus advertisements placed in GESTA receive global circulation including countries beyond the boundaries of most advertising campaigns.
